3) U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan –Small business owners can apply and receive up to a $10,000 advance on an under the CARES Act even if previous applications were declined or are still pending. 6) Resource for Independent Contractors and Self-Employed Individuals: Starting April 13, 2020, independent contractors and self-employed individuals can apply for and receive loans to cover their payroll and other certain expenses through existing U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) lenders under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). ​8) Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA): The MBDA Entrepreneurship Education Program for Formerly Incarcerated Persons Program focuses on funding innovative projects to support and equip formerly incarcerated persons them with the skills, resources, and network to start businesses. 9) Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center: Enterprising Women of Color Grant Competition: The Enterprising Women of Color program is a part of MBDA’s focus to promote the growth and global competitiveness of minority business enterprises. The agency program will promote women of color entrepreneurs as engines of economic growth in their communities. MBDA is seeking proposals to fund three Enterprising Women of Color business centers in any U.S. State or U.S. Territory.  The MBDA Business Center: Enterprising Women of Color offices will focus on supporting minority women entrepreneurs to build their businesses, secure contracts and capital, and increase employment opportunities. Applications must be submitted to Grants.gov no later than May 30th at 11:59 p.m. ET.

10) Verizon Small Business Recovery Fund: The Verizon Small Business Recovery Fund administered by LISC is providing grants to help small businesses fill urgent financial gaps until they can resume normal operations or until other more permanent financing becomes available. LISC will use the Verizon funding to provide grants of up to $10,000 to businesses facing immediate financial pressure because of COVID-19 — especially entrepreneurs of color, women-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically underserved communities who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital. The funding can be used to pay rent and utilities, meet payroll, and pay outstanding debt to vendors and other immediate operational costs. 11) Sam’s Club and LISC’s Small Business Grant Fund: Sam’s Club and LISC’s Small Business Grant Fundhave partnered together to create the Small Business Grant Fund ($1 million) to provide the emergency assistance that small businesses desperately need to stay afloat during COVID-19. 13) Salesforce and Ureeka Care Small Business Grant: Salesforce and Ureeka are partnering to offer eligible small businesses the opportunity to receive a $10,000 grant to help them through the COVID-19 outbreak. Go here for more details:https://grants.ureeka.biz/salesforce

14) Hello Alice Business for All Grant: Hello Alice Business for All Grant is offering small businesses $10,000 grants with support from Verizon, Amazon Web Services, and other companies. 15) EquiTrust: EquiTrust, the nation’s largest minority-owned insurance company owned by Earvin “Magic” Johnson, has partnered with MBE Capital Partners, a Latino company owned by Rafael Martinez, to provide $100 million for women- and minority-owned small businesses as part of the Paycheck Protection Program. 16) NAACP DC Branch
: The NAACP DC Branch’s COVID-19 Black Business Directory is the most up-to-date listing of Washington, DC’s black-owned businesses. This special Directory was produced through one-on-one talks between the NAACP DC Branch and over fifty black-owned business representatives from all over the District. Open it to learn about each business and how they have adapted to safely serve you despite the pandemic. From hand-made Fathers Day cards and socially-distant dance lessons, to law firms and dental services, this Directory has every good and service you need; all black-owned and black made. 17) Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation: The U.S. Black Chambers (USBC) partnership with BP Oil company, the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Beaufort Black Chamber of Commerce provided funding to over 20 Black-owned businesses. Grant amounts up to $2,000 and loans up to $10,000 were provided. Currently, there are loan funds available to help firms impacted by COVID-19. Information about the program is available by contacting the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation at 504-655-7572.
