In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, MMTC is committed to our mission critical work in bridging the digital divide through education, outreach, advocacy, and community partnerships that ensure the connectivity of the most vulnerable students, workers, families, and communities in America. We support and commend the efforts of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai for challenging broadband and telephone providers to take the “Keep Americans Connected” Pledge by providing free internet services for and extending their commitment through June 30th. To date, over 750 companies and associations have taken the pledge.
MMTC also supports the efforts of the cable, telecommunications, media, and entertainment industries including our partners, AT&T, Charter Communications, Comcast, Motion Picture Association, NCTA – Internet & Television Association, T-Mobile, and Verizon to expand broadband access to and inform Americans.
