Dorrissa D. Griffin, Esq., CAE

Chief of Staff and Staff Counsel

Dorrissa Griffin has nearly ten years of professional experience and expertise in law and policy, operations and administration, technology, and corporate relations. She is the Chief of Staff and Staff Counsel at Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC), a small staff, not-for-profit focused on diversity and inclusion in the media, telecommunications and technology industries. Dorrissa is passionate about the causes of social justice and entrepreneurship and sees technology as a tool to close the socio-economic gaps for multicultural communities. She has used her seven-year tenure at MMTC to achieve those aims in her advocacy for broadband adoption and deployment, digital literacy, and access to capital for minority- and women-owned businesses.

Dorrissa received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Global Marketing and a certificate in Supply Chain Logistics from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law in Orlando, Florida; and, is a 2016 recipient of its Distinguished Alumni Professional Excellence Award. She is also a 2018 Udacity and Bertelsmann Data Science Scholar.

Dorrissa earned her certificated association executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Her membership affiliations included ASAE, and both the DC and Florida Bars.
