Description: Members of Congress and legislative leaders addressed how to introduce, promote, and enact access to capital legislation and regulations focused on increasing MWBE ownership and participation in the media, telecom, and tech industries. In addition, leaders focused heavily on the disparate treatment of minorities in the nation and referenced the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Special presentations included remarks on the upcoming Presidential election. MMTC conferred its Champion of Digital Equality Award upon the Congressional Black Caucus’s Tech 2020 initiative, accepted by Rep. G.K. Butterfield.
