Wendy Rivera-Aquilar

Mrs. Rivera is MMTC’s first Director of Hispanic Affairs and serves as Staff Counsel where she
focuses on communication issues that have the greatest impact on minorities and women
entrepreneurs. She is based in Florida and has a solid background in commercial, administrative, and civil rights law.

For three years Mrs. Rivera served as a Participating Attorney for the Florida State Conferences
Branches of the NAACP and joined a regulatory firm as Deputy General Counsel. She was also
the Research Assistant for the Director of National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology and
the Law School at Stetson College of Law.

She is the Executive Director of the Multicultural Education Alliance, a non profit organization
that promotes open and collaborative dialogue between parents, administrators, educators,
students, lawmakers, and the community to ensure quality education for all students in Florida.

Mrs. Rivera has given her time, leadership, and support to benefit many worthy causes, such as
serving as a Rapporteur for the Diversity and Inclusion, Telecommunications and Internet Policy
Task Force, the Orange County Student Advisory Council, and the Orange County Nuisance
Abatement Board. Moreover, she was selected as an Ambassador for the Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce of Metro Orlando where she represents the chamber at numerous events.

Mrs. Rivera earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida and
her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in
Florida and before the United States District Court in and for the Middle District.

Mrs. Rivera lives in Florida with her husband and children.
