Serving in the capacity of Deputy CTO since August 2011, Tom Power helps develop and coordinate administration policy on telecom and technology issues.  Before joining OSTP, Power served for more than two years as the Chief of Staff of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce.  At NTIA, Power provided policy and managerial direction for a wide range of agency activities, including spectrum, Internet policymaking and Recovery Act broadband grant programs.
